Punta Secca, the house of Montalbano P.I.

Punta Secca, the house of inspector Montalbano

Punta Secca is located in the south-eastern part of the island, just a few kilometres from the tourist part of Marina di Ragusa. The tourist village faces onto a beautiful beach of fine golden sand and develops around the Torre Sgalabri built in the 16th century by Cosimo Bellomo to defend the port. The tower has been restored and houses a lovely seaside café with a view of the famous house of inspector Montalbano, a famous Italian TV series based on the stories of the Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri. Punta Secca is now a very popular summer village and the numerous villas and houses for rent are ideal for tourists in search of tranquility, a clean sea and fine cuisine.
