Portopalo di Menfi and the Belice River Reserve

Menfi, vineyards that reach the sea and unspoilt beaches

Portopalo di Menfi is a small village by the sea that rises in the province of Agrigento. This is south-west Sicily, a zone dedicated to farming, in particular to winegrowing which is favoured by the mild climate and the loamy soil. There are numerous wineries including Planeta which produces outstanding wine appreciated all over the world. The places here are still uncontaminated and tourism has become a significant presence, but is still sustainable. There are many wild beaches and lidos in the area, so you can choose the one that suits you best. This place is also to be enjoyed for its many restaurants that serve excellent food with typical Sicilian and fish-based products and, of course, excellent wine. One of these is "Vittorio", located directly on the beach of Lido dei Fiori.
