Summary

This imposing stone tower has been carefully restored by the current owners. The restoration hasn't detracted from its beauty but simply added some superb facilities. The tastefully furnished and well-equipped tower is located about 1 kilometre from Scicli, a small but outstandingly beautiful town set in the Baroque of the Noto valley. This area was declared a World Heritage Site in 2002. The Villa, surrounded by a 10,000 m² garden has a beautiful 6x12 meter swimming pool, lawned garden, tennis court (can also be used for soccer) as well as spa, sauna, Turkish bath and Scottish shower.

Property details

This stunning villa is immersed in greenery and carob and olive trees dot the lawns. The view from the garden of Scicli and the nearby Donnalucata beach is spectacular. In the garden there is plenty of seating with chic, comfy-sun beds and deck-chairs to relax on. The solarium, swimming-pool, Spa area, and large lawn- tennis court are further down the garden. If you don't feel like playing tennis the court can also be used as a soccer field. The house spreads over three floors. On the ground floor the large open-plan living area is flooded with light and you'll be delighted with the smart furnishings and modern kitchen area. A master bedroom, opening to the garden, with ensuite bathroom is also on this floor as welll as a laundry. The staircase leads up to the fabulous stone-vaulted ceiling of the reading and wine-bar area which opens to a large terrace with the sea and town beyond. From the house you can visit the beautiful baroque town of Scicli and discover its immense cultural, monumental and culinary treasures! The house is only 2 kilometres from the town centre and just a 10-minute drive to the sandy beach of Donnalucata (Playa Grande). From Scicli you can visit all the baroque towns of Valle di Noto. The UNESCO towns Noto, Modica, Ispica, Ragusa Ibla and Palazzolo Acreide are all within easy reach. The nature reserves of Vendicari and Cavagrande del Cassibile as well as the rocky Necropolis of Pantalica are all nearby too. The Donnafugata Castle, the seaside village of Marzamemi, Porto Palo di Capopassero and Punta Secca are all worth seeing too. No shortage of beaches either. Sunlovers are sure to love the one in the Irminio River Reserve, San Lorenzo in Marzamemi, Cala Mosche in Vendicari, Torre Ulisse in Pozzallo, to name just a few. The Donnafugata Golf Resort with its 18-hole course is also handy. Siracusa is a bit further afield but makes for an enjoyable day trip. If you do decide to go, it's well-worth visiting the archaeological park with its Greek Theatre and Ortigia. We highly recommend you trying the famous restaurants of the baroque towns while touring about the capitals of Sicilian cuisine.
