Immersed in the century-old olive trees that are commonly found in the Sicilian countryside, this beautiful house is surrounded by a small but enchanting garden. The lofty olive, pine and palm trees shade the lawns and concrete swimming pool. The double-building house has been recently restored throughout creating the perfect escape. In the bigger building the living area while the smaller hosts the bedrooms. Ideal for walking or jogging or simply being idle by the pool. The property is a few miles from Selinunte and its marvellous beaches.

Property details

A 3,000 square meter, shady lawned-garden surrounds the house and to the East the infinity pool that is lit up as night falls. The property consists of two interlocking buildings, both charmingly revived and boasting smart decor. The living area is in one building and just a few steps away the sleeping area. Enjoy meals around the dining table or lounge in the super couches while looking out at the immaculate garden or smartly furnished patio. Off the dining area lies the spacious and modern kitchen and utility room. The sleeping area has two bedrooms each with a double bed and two bathrooms with shower. Both suites have private access.

The house is surrounded by a 10-hectare olive grove that has been producing oil for decades. The property is situated near Castelvetrano and is an easy drive to the ancient remains of Selinunte. This historically interesting archaeological park is situated on the coast and boasts some of the most spectacular views of the sea that Sicily has to offer. The unspoilt beaches, such as the WWF oasis in Torre Salsa and Punta Granitola, are perfect for sunseekers and the location of the house is also ideal for those wishing to see the western side of the island. Possible day trips abound such as; Trapani's Salt Pans and Paceco, the medieval town of Erice, the theatre and temples in Segesta, the lively town of Sciacca (also famous for its Carnival and thermal baths), Marsala and its historic Wineries including Florio and Pellegrino, as well as San Vito lo Capo e Makari and the scenic (and unique) Tuna fishery in Scopello. If you feel like going a little further afield you might like to visit the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento or the Scala dei Turchi in Realmonte with its pure white rock cliffs overlooking the sea. We also recommend the Egadi islands for a day out and a regular hydrofoil service from Trapani's harbour gets you there in just 20 minutes.
