Casa ben curata e ben tenuta. Gli spazi esterni erano più che adeguati ad accogliere il nostro gruppo di 8 persone. Bellissima pscina ed un'accoglienza che non dimenticheremo mai.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Natura in Selinunte! The house is wonderful and the garden + the pool are outstanding. Very clean, very spacious and even better than on the photos shown on the website. We had a great time with our children and enjoyed the large pool and the nearby beaches. Palermo, Sciacca, Erice, San Vito lo Capo and other cities/ places to see are easy to reach by car. Special thanks to Carmen who was extremely helpful and kind - she showed us the house but also recommended places and restaurants to go and was always there when we had questions. Perfect!!

Complimenti!!

Can absolutely recommend staying in this villa if you're looking for a remote and relaxed place for a group of friends (like ourselves) or with a family. The villa is equipped with all facilities, a beautiful and well maintained garden and a pool and comes with a great BBQ for all your outdoor cooking. Carmen, the host of the villa, is very caring and showed us around the area, showing all the nice spots to go to the beach and showed us the great places for buying fresh and local ingredients for us to cook with. Furthermore, she was always ready to help in case we needed some local guidance, a truly great and host. In Selinunte, the most nearby town, you will find some nice cafe's and shops to visit. In particular we've found the nearby Reef Cafe a great spot for pizza's and pasta's all while enjoying a nice drink with a view on the sea. We've also found driving out towards nearby cities such as Alcamo and Palermo for day-trips also very worthwhile and doable from the location of the villa. All in all, can recommend booking this villa if you're looking for a relaxed holiday by the pool with a book.

Torneremo sicuramente!

Overview

Peace and tranquility reign supreme in this handsome villa where the temples of Selinunte are so close, you'll be able to get a glimpse of them from the terrace. If it's a place where you can be "at one with nature" is what you crave, then Villa Natura is the ideal spot. The house is immersed in 13,000 sq mts of lush garden where century-old olive tree, palms and heavenly aromatic plants grow and the surrounding countryside stretches down to the sea. When you tire of lounging by the pool, you may wish to have a swim at one of the nearby beaches or have a look at one of the archeological sites in the area.

Property details

The lush verdant gardens enclose a 17th century fountain, a pool decked out with loungers as well as an alfresco area where there are dining facilities and a fridge. There's a 2-room chill-out summer house next to the pool too with two showers and a laundry. There are also lots of shady spots in the garden if you are seeking solitude or a place to read or snooze. The villa itself spreads over 2 floors with a patio on the western side of the house where there are couches and armchairs for relaxing in and the connecting door that takes you into the house. As you enter there is a large open-plan room that is divided between a living area with fireplace; a reading corner with views of the olive grove as well as a super spacious, well-equipped kitchen/dining area with picture windows looking onto the garden. Off here lies one double bedroom with a bathroom. Upstairs on the first floor there are 3 bedrooms in total, all with views of the surrounding countryside and a terrace with views of the temples of Selinunte and the sea. There are two twin bedrooms and a double room that features a four-poster bed. The first floor bathroom has a spa bath for a relaxing soak.

Additional information

There is a covered patio in the garden where there's a fridge and in the summerhouse by the pool there are 2 showers.

Surrounding Area

The Villa is just 6kms from the Belice River Nature Reserve which is a protected area that extends for 129 hectares and is an important stopover and nesting area for many animal species. Within the reserve there is also the Pineta beach and the pine forest with its renowned "Pineta" restaurant. Not far from here is the fishing village of Marinella di Selinunte the sandy beach known as Zabara. It is also an easy drive to the ancient remains of Selinunte. This historically interesting archaeological park is situated on the coast and boasts some of the most spectacular views of the sea that Sicily has to offer. The unspoilt beaches, such as the WWF oasis in Torre Salsa and Punta Granitola, are perfect for sunseekers and the location of the house is also ideal for those wishing to see the western side of the island. Possible day trips abound such as; Trapani's Salt Pans and Paceco, the medieval town of Erice, the theatre and temples in Segesta, the lively town of Sciacca (also famous for its Carnival and thermal baths), Marsala and its historic Wineries including Florio and Pellegrino, as well as San Vito lo Capo e Makari and the scenic (and unique) Tuna fishery in Scopello. If you feel like going a little further afield you might like to visit the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento or the Scala dei Turchi in Realmonte with its pure white rock cliffs overlooking the sea. We also recommend the Egadi islands for a day out and a regular hydrofoil service operates from Trapani's harbour. A boat gets you there in just 20 minutes.
