We were two families and I have to say Nerello Mascalese was a perfect match for our needs. The kids really needed to spend some time away from tablets and phones (well, most of the time) and breathe unpolluted air. We all had so much fun and relax at the same time. We didn't have to worry about where the kids were or if they were swimming too much away from the coast or if they could get lost in the crowd. The location was safe as well as the swimming pool so us parents were able to chill for a change. Amazing.

Overview
Nerello Mascalese is an ancient noble country residence situated on the slopes of the Etna Volcano, close to the characteristic village of Randazzo on the northern side of the mountain. It is immersed in the charming hilly Etnean landscape rich in thick and variegated vegetation, thanks also to the presence of volcanic soil rich in nutrients. The villa is surrounded by an extremely well-kept garden with a magnificent heated pool. There is also a lovely patio with kitchen, dining table and relaxation corner. Ideal place for a relaxing holiday and a good starting point to visit all the wonders of Eastern Sicily.

Returned to its original charm by careful restoration work recently completed, Nerello Mascalese re-evokes the authentic atmospheres of Sicilian homes of the past. Climbing the external staircase, you reach the main floor that is home to the main house that comprises a living room, dining room with fireplace, kitchen, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The nearby guesthouse has a living room with fireplace, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The house is cared for in every detail and features a large kitchen, ideal for those passionate about gourmet food. The house is equipped with two wood-burning fireplaces, an excellent gas heating system and a heated pool, making it also ideal for off-season holidays. The swimming pool is open from April 1st to October 31st.
