Villa Tao

Villa Tao is a unique place in Taormina with a sea view that becomes pure magic at sunset, but the features of the villa don’t end here. Immersed in a 2000m² garden, surrounded by dense Mediterranean vegetation, it is a truly incredible and unforgettable experience to enjoy the outdoor areas of the villa. Positioned along the crest of Mount Tauro, directly under the city, the villa is just 10 minutes away on foot from the centre. The sea and the beaches of Letojanni are reached directly from the villa by walking a stairs of 100 steps or taking a cable car….so no car is required. This truly privileged condition is difficult to find in another home with the same characteristics. The Villa is the only private facility in Taormina reserved for large groups.

The villa is located in a very quiet position of Taormina far from the city traffic but close to the centre, which is just a few minutes away on foot. The villa is surrounded by a large terraced garden full of Mediterranean plants with a beautiful 10x5 metre pool, salt-purified, with a lava stone edge and a large sun deck, a 6-seater Jacuzzi heated at 40°, a large patio with lunch table to sit 10 people and several quiet corners, furnished with chaise longues and armchairs. There is a breathtaking view of the sea and the Taormina gulf from every corner of the garden. The villa is composed of a central body and two guesthouses with independent access. The ground floor of the main house has a living room with large sofas and giant fireplace, a lunch area, a kitchen with double door fridge and ice dispenser, a laundry room and a bathroom. On the upper floor, accessed from the outside and from the inside by the comfortable stairs, there are 3 double rooms, two bathrooms one en-suite and a large terrace with sea view. The house is furnished tastefully and elegantly, there are numerous important works of art on the walls. In the garden, there are five magnificent guesthouses, each with their own independent access, comprising a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette, a suite with double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. All the guesthouses have a sea view. Some are equipped with a small garden or private terrace where guests can enjoy maximum relaxation and a magnificent view of the Taormina gulf.

The municipality may require the payment of the daily tourist tax for all guests aged 12 and over. The amount, which may vary according to the season and the location, must be paid in cash to the reception manager upon arrival.
