This antique rural house boasts an extremely picturesque position with sweeping views all the way to the sea on one side and the town of Scicli on the other. The surrounding countryside is pleasingly Ragusan where almond, carub and olive trees abound and low stone walls divide the paddocks.
The villa has been completely and meticulously refurbished with close attention to detail and the result is a cosy and charming ambience. The 250 sq metre, fully air-conditioned house consists of three appartments with beds for 11 people as well as 2 fold-out couches for extra guests. The fittings and the furnishings and the cool interiors make this villa a hard one to beat! In the garden you can soak up the sun by the pool while enjoying the views of Scicli or make use of the handy 50 sq metre pool-house where there is an extra kitchen, bathroom and covered porch area which is perfect for whiling away an afternoon. There is Wi-Fi connection throughout the house.

The recent restoration to this handsome villa hasn't detracted from its beauty, merely added some superb comforts while preserving its original charm and the one-hectare grounds enclose lush mediterrean gardens ensuring the visitor privacy and tranquility.
The villa consists of three interlocking appartments each with their own panoramic terrace which are ideal for dining or enjoying a drink. La Casa Carrubo has a spacious living room with fireplace, kitchen and eating area, two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom, a single bedroom with bathroom as well as an outdoor laundry and shower. This appartment has two terraces offering sociable spots in which to gather. La Casa Mandorlo spreads over two floors with a super spacious, well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor that leads into the comfortable living room. Off here lies the porch which acts as an outdoor lounge or eating area. Up the stairs to the sleeping area where there are two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite as well as a second bathroom with a tub for a relaxing soak. This appartment connects to Casa Ulivo which has a double bedroom, one bathroom and kitchen/living area where there is a fold-out double bed and glorious windows that let in the view of Scicli and the surrounding countryside. In the low season you can take the houses separately but in the high season they can only be taken together.

    Surrounded by century old olive and carub trees and a romantic stone wall, this charming villa is situated just outside the Baroque town of Scicli in Sicily's south-east. The villages and towns of Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Ispica, Noto, la Riserva Naturale di Vendicari, Siracusa and Caltagirone as well as the numerous coasts flanked by their golden sandy beaches are all within easy reach. The beach of Sampieri with its fully equipped lido, restaurant facilities and shady pine forest is just 8kms from the property and the beaches of Donnalucata, Marina di Modica, Marina di Ragusa, la Riserva di Vendicari, Marzamemi, Kamarina and the Riserva di Randello are all closeby as well. From Sampieri and Marina di Modica you can bike along the coast while enjoying the heavenly scents of this corner of paradise! For those who may wish to visit Malta while in Sicily, a hydrofoil from the port at Pozzallo will get you there.
    For food-lovers the area has lots to offer: you simply must try the Nero D'Avola wine, the cheese from Ragusa, Frigintini's oil, Pachino's cherry tomatoes and of course a trip to the area wouldn't be complete without sampling Modica's famous chocolate. If it is outdoor pursuits you are fond of, then you won't be disappointed either- there's sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, fishing, walking and horseriding too!
