It has been restored and is now a warm and intimate residence, ideal for a holiday immersed in the wild nature that surrounds it. This quiet corner is simply perfect for an unforgettable holiday. Relax on the terrace in the evening, as you enjoy the fresh air of the countryside and the breathtaking view over the baroque lit-up city of Noto.

Property details

Dammuso Noto is a typical rural Sicilian dwelling built with thick stone walls that give it a unique and unmistakable character. A place able to provide a highly characteristic ambience in full island style. The interior is formed by a single body divided into two floors: on the ground floor is the living room with a sofa bed, enriched by unique pieces and coloured patchwork fabrics. On the same floor is a bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. Opposite the kitchen, on the outside, is a patio in bamboo cane with lunch table and barbecue. On the mezzanine, on the first floor, is a magnificent double room with direct access to a stunning terrace with a view that looks westwards onto the sea and eastwards onto the historic centre of Noto. The terrace is equipped with a patio and chairs, cushions and carpets. A small swimming pool of 6.5x3.5 metres is available to guests.

Surrounding Area

Noto

The splendid baroque town of Noto with her cathedral and striking buildings with intricate facades is just a few kms from the house and if it's Baroque masterpieces you are fond of then you won't need to drive far to get to any of the other famous towns in the area such as Ispica, Ragusa Ibla, Palazzolo Acreide, Modica and Scicli. For nature-lovers then there's the Nature Reserve of Vendicari with its gorgeous beaches (we recommend Cala Mosche) and Cavagrande del Cassibile too where a walk down to the spectacular gorge takes about an hour. The small seaside village of Marzamemi is a bit further afield but well worth making a day trip for.
If you are a golf-lover you can visit the Donnaluca Resort which is not far from the Castello di Donnafugata which is a fine palace indeed and dates back to the 17th century. The location for the Italian television series "Montalbano" is nearby too at Punta Secca.
