Each year the Dutch NGO Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) draws up the ranking of the best beaches based on quality parameters including the healthiness of the water but also the variety of services offered. In Italy, 427 locations were awarded for 2022 and 11 of these were awarded the Blue Flag in Sicily, placing it in ninth place in the national ranking. Among these 11 flags, the 4 assigned to Marina di Modica (Modica), Raganzino (Pozzallo), Cirica (Ispica) and Marina di Ragusa stand out, all in the province of Ragusa.
