A landmark for those travelling to North-Western Sicily, the Zingaro Nature Reserve is a large and uncontaminated stretch of coastline. There is no coastal road accessible to cars or engine powered vehicles, offering a pure glimpse, between the green flora and the intense blue of the sea.

Though the Reserve is not open to visitors due to a serious accident happened at the end of August, the surrounding area remains an important tourist centre, including the areas of the municipalities of Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo, including Scopello, a charming village of the 1700s.

Full of charm and beauty, Scopello stands right above one of the most turquoise bays of the area, whose beauty is also narrated, according to legend by Homer, indicating this coastline as the last stage of Ulysses journey before his return to Ithaca. Going beyond the epic poems, Scopello now encloses the essence of this specific area of Sicily, knowing how to combine a characteristic architecture, a breathtaking sea, a typical and recognisable cuisine and unforgettable panoramas!

Scopello is found at the end of the Zingaro Nature Reserve, with its sea stacks that anticipate its beauty and charm. Our villas, Villa Blu and Balata, suitable for families, are located right next to the village.

Recommended villas

Villa Blu is a large country house, today renovated with architectural details and design that recall the typically maritime setting of the area: the dark and light blue shades, combined with pearl grey and white give the structure a totally characteristic mood, perfect for immersing oneself in a holiday focused on the sea. In addition to the beach, just a few steps away (Guidaloca, is one of the clearest of the coastline), the villa also features a large swimming pool and a large solarium, perfect details for a family holiday or with a group of friends.

Balata, on the other hand, is surrounded by a garden of more than 3000 m². It is a residence in typical Mediterranean style, where nature, sea and countryside merge with luxury elements such as a magnificent 4-seater Jacuzzi and a multifunctional sports centre to use also for tennis.

Yasmin is another charming villa, heading towards San Vito Lo Capo: here, too, the details are in full Mediterranean style, set in a garden of century-old olive trees with a view of the Macari gulf, from which to enjoy a picturesque sunset that sets the sea ablaze. Yasmin is the perfect location for those who want to discover Western Sicily in the company of friends, thanks to three independent suites external to the main house.

The three villas all enjoy the proximity of the sea and some of the most characteristic villages of the area, perfect for passing the time or characteristic meals based on cous cous, fish or cunzato bread: immersing oneself in the Sicilian summer is a must in this area, getting involved in a colourful and exciting whirlwind between sea and nature.
