Situated in North-Central Sicily, the Madonie Nature Park is a protected natural area that includes the Madonie, (a short mountain ridge west of the Nebrodi mountains) and the neighbouring municipalities, belonging to the metropolitan city of Palermo.

In addition to being a winter destination, particularly appreciated by snow lovers, the Madonie Nature Park is the richest place of biodiversity in Sicily, with 1600 different plants: this feature can be primarily traced back to the geographical position of the area, which is found in the centre between Europe and Africa and takes advantage of this specific position, above all from a climatic point of view.

Going to the Madonie the visitor can enjoy uncontaminated nature that is always ready to amaze, with typical flora and fauna of the area. Our villas in the area of the Madonie are concentrated between Cefalù and Polizzi Generosa, proposing two different types of stay.

Inside the Madonie Nature Park is Polizzi Generosa, a medieval hamlet immersed in nature, where you can relax from the daily routine and enjoy the silence, good food and generosity of the residents (not surprisingly the term “generosa” (meaning generous in English) was added by Federico II in 1863, who was amazed by the warmth of the population during one of his visits). In this area, our villas are more suited to a holiday focused on relaxation between the countryside and the mountains of the Madonie.

Recommended villas

  • Terre di Lula best represents the mood of a holiday of this kind, immersed in the countryside and built to be in total harmony with the surrounding nature. The construction in stone, with large central courtyard, spring water swimming pool and charming bamboo shower, suggests you are in a place suspended in time, where you can enjoy the benefits of nature both on the body and the soul
  • Blanca is a country home, perfect for immersing oneself in the life between the Sicilian Mountains close to the village, enjoying a beautiful view of the madonita and a small spring water swimming pool.
  • La Casa degli Spagnoli is a noble estate renovated and cared for in every detail, designed to give vast importance to the open spaces thanks to the large swimming pool, the solarium and the magnificent view of Polizzi Generosa.

Full of charm and perfectly suspended between sea and mountain, Cefalù is one of the most beautiful villages of Italy, where you can find the beauties of Sicily condensed into a single, beautiful location. The surroundings of Cefalù offer a vast choice of villas, and it is perfect for families that love to experiment a holiday by the sea but also an experience in the Madonite countryside: the majority of villas avail of direct access to the sea and are a few kilometres from Castelbuono, one of the most delightful and characteristic villages.

  • Faraglioni is a villa whose name derives from the closeness with the sea stacks of Kalura, one of the most fascinating and less visited areas near Cefalù: a vast residence surrounded by a large garden, the villa is also perfect for the winter period, thanks to the interior spaces and the nearness with the centre of the village. Lalli House is in the same charming area, with practical direct access to the sea perfect for families or for groups of friends who love a stress-free holiday.
  • Baia Smeraldo also takes its name from the magnificent view of the turquoise sea of Cefalù and the cathedral of the town. In addition to the large garden and the descent to the sea, Baia Smeraldo also has a pool, perfect for a relaxing pause among the Mediterranean vegetation.
  • Carlotta and Calaluna are another two ideal residences for those who love to divide themselves between sea and mountain, but not only! If Calaluna immerses guests in a typical maritime climate with its themed furnishings and sea view, Carlotta also offers a panoramic Jacuzzi from which to enjoy emotional red fire sunsets.
  • Torre del Drago is a unique residence that allows those who stay here to try the experience of living in an authentic Saracen tower of the 14th century. Its origin of outpost to glimpse the dangers from the sea suggests the size of the panoramic view that can be enjoyed from the facility, furnished with direct access to the sea.
  • Situated more inland in the surroundings of Cefalù, Casa dell’Acqua is a country house perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in the typical rural life of Sicily, but not only. The construction in front of the central house, today a luxury loft, was designed as a sort of water well/basin with a particular and intricate system of irrigation designed to water the surrounding countryside.

In addition to being immersed in a breathtaking landscape, the homes and the villas in the area of Madonie are full of history and curiosity, real testimonies of Sicily of the past, perfect locations where you can spend the summer but also the winter, enjoying nature 100%.
