This splendid waterfall is located in the heart of the wonderful province of Messina, in the municipality of Longi, within the bed of the Fitalia river. Crossing one of the splendid Nebrodi canyons, passing along the river between large rocks and rich vegetation, you arrive in front of this small but suggestive waterfall where the sound of the water and the green of the surrounding nature will contribute to making this experience idyllic and unforgettable.
The experience of river trekking in the Stretta di Longi is recommended only in the summer months, due to the high water flow in the remaining months of the year. The Stretta will be covered for a stretch of about 600 metres, between mostly vertical walls, in an alternation of stretches with waterfalls and natural pools, until you reach this beautiful waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip.
Surrounded by dense vegetation with a predominance of poplar, alder, willow, tamarisk and oleander, while in the transparent waters you can observe Sicilian trout and freshwater crab. The sun's rays struggle to penetrate inside the gorge, succeeding only in the central hours of the day, giving rise to spectacular reflections on the rocky walls.
