Thank you for helping us making our Sicilian family vacation so special. Every convenience was thought of. It was clear that Pietra del Sole was designed with love and with maximum guest comfort in mind. Our group of 5 adults and 3 children enjoyed all the house had to offer and our hosts were welcoming and responsive and provided recommendations (for chef and boat tour) that took our vacation to the next level! We hope to be back very soon.

Nous avons passé une magnifique semain dans cette incroyable maison où tout a été très bie pensé. La piscine est un pur bonheur et les alentons sont beaux à visiter. To Giuseppe, Antonio & the rest of the family, thank you for the most incredible stay. We loved our two (very hot) weeks here basking in the sunlight & exploring the local area. Overview

A few minutes by car from the wonderful Marausa lido beach of fine golden sand, stands this splendid property immersed in the colours and scents of north-western Sicily. A villa with an enchanting atmosphere that contains all the charm of our beautiful island, furnished with simplicity and irresistible glamour. A refuge, whether you are with family or friends, to enjoy in complete relaxation the beauties of this corner of Sicily which still maintains its primordial soul intact, an idyllic landscape made up of the Trapani countryside which gently and sinuously slopes towards the sea in the distance.

Property details

Surrounded by a splendid 2000 m2 garden with lawn, aromatic and ornamental plants all with a Sicilian taste, Pietra del Sole has a large salt-purified infinity pool (without chlorine) with adjoining Turkish bath, fitness area and bathroom with shower. Also outside, you can find a shaded veranda with dining area and a well-equipped outdoor kitchen (cooking area, oven, fridge, dishwasher and bbq). Consisting of the main house and two annexes, the villa offers spacious and welcoming interiors furnished in a refined contemporary style and equipped with all modern comforts. The main building comprises a living room, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a service bathroom and three bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, including one with a king size bed, one double and one twin. The two annexes house the fourth and fifth bedrooms, both with private bathrooms and King Size beds. Pietra del Sole is also a perfect base for nature and sport lovers, who can practise trekking, birdwatching and follow the cycle paths present in the nearby salt pans reserve, but also visit the Salt Museum and the most interesting places in Sicily western.

Additional information

The municipality may require the payment of the daily tourist tax for all guests aged 12 and over. The amount, which may vary according to the season and the location, must be paid in cash to the reception manager upon arrival.

Surrounding Area

Pietra del Sole is located 10 km from the splendid Trapani, 15 km from the beautiful town of Marsala in the north-western part of Sicily and only 3 km from the sea. Marsala is world famous for the production of the liqueur wine of the same name discovered by the British at the end of the 19th century and then exported all over the world. Marsala is still produced today in the historic wine cellars of the area including the Cantine Pellegrino and the Cantine Florio. For both, we recommend a guided tour to admire the fascinating historic cellars and taste the dry and fortified wines. Marsala also means sea and beaches which are numerous here, but also the fascinating salt pans of Trapani and Paceco with its windmills. Just from Trapani by hydrofoil you can visit the Egadi islands in one day, made up of Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo. An obligatory stop is also the island of Mozia which can be reached in a few minutes with a landing stage. And yet another visit to the mediaeval town of Erice, and to the archaeological sites of Segesta and Selinunte. Along the coast you will find the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the hamlet of Scopello with its scenic tuna fishery and the Caribbean-like beach of San Vito lo Capo.
