Property details

If you are looking for a Villa that is fabulously positioned then look no further. As well as being close to the beaches, Villa Nirvana is just 6kms from the heart of Siracuse and 2kms to the motorway entrance. The house, that spreads over 3 floors is immersed in extensive leafy-green gardens where there are loads of spots in the shade of the fruit trees or in the rose garden for enjoying the tranquility. The lawned garden provides a fitting backdrop to the salt water pool and spa division`where you can soak up the sun under the marine blue sky. A wooden patio in the shade of jasmine stands in the garden where there's a barbecue and dining table for 8. The eye-catching interior of the house is an appealing blend of ethnicity and the west with African wood carvings coming together with European artifacts and antiques. The entrance leads into a cheerful double living room with comfy couches, a fireplace and TV and an adjoining covered terrace with a table for 8 and upholstered benches. Off the living room lies the super kitchen with shiny worktops and appliances and sliding glass doors connecting to the dining room. To the other side of the living room there is the master bedroom with private bathroom and tv as well as another bathroom where there is a spa. Downstairs, on the lower ground floor there is a double bedroom, spacious bathroom, a massage room, and a beautiful suite with its own bathroom. Up the wooden stairs from the ground floor is the attic with its own living area, a double bed and a small bathroom with a tub for a relaxing soak. Ceiling windows let light flood in and the bare beams create a romantic feel. A garage with space for 3 cars is below the house.

Area

Area

Villa Nirvana is perfectly positioned in a delightful residential area at the gates of the City of Siracuse. It is an ideal base for exploring the magnificent, historical centre of Ortigia and the Archeological Park of Siracusa as well as the Greek Theatre in Siracuse which is one of the most impressive theatres in the Greek world and one of Sicily's most visited attractions. If you are lucky enough to be visiting between mid May and the end of June, you may witness it when it's transformed into a buzzing hive of dramatic activily, just as it was 2,500 years ago. There are loads of other places to see and things to do in the area as well. You can't miss a trip to the authentically Sicilian town of Modica with its winding alleys, intricate facades and delicious chocolate. It's also an ideal starting point to the other Sicilian baroque towns such as Noto, Ragusa Ibla, Scicli, Palazzolo Acreide and Ispica, all UNESCO sites. If it's natural pursuits you are after, then there's the Nature Reserve of Vendicari with its gorgeous beaches (we recommend Cala Mosche) and Cavagrande del Cassibile too where a walk down to the spectacular gorge takes about an hour. The small seaside village of Marzamemi is well worth visiting too. Further afield to the north you may wish to visit Catania and Europe's largest and most active volcano-Etna as well as Sicily's legendary resort town, Taormina.
