The largest swing in Europe arrives in Sicily: suspended between the Nebrodi and the Madonie parks.

In San Mauro Castelverde, a small village in the province of Palermo, work has already begun on the highest swing in Europe. The swing was designed by the company that manages the Zipline Sicilia so, together with the raft excursions to the Tiberio gorges, the first adrenaline and experiential park in Italy was born. The structure will rise just a few metres from the zipline, with a height of 16 metres and close to a valley more than 300 metres deep.

Well yes, because among the hundreds of visitors who arrive in our splendid and varied Sicily every year, we cannot forget those looking for experiential tourism made up not only of walks and adventures among the Mediterranean nature but also of pure adrenaline. The set of characteristics that make up this swing allow it to conquer the record of the highest in Europe. In Italy there is currently a swing in Trentino Alto Adige that reaches 15 metres, while the deepest in Europe, with its 100 metres, is in Amsterdam.

The San Mauro Castelverde swing will have a very emotional context around it, which ranges from the Madonie to the Nebrodi, to reach the sea where the gaze rests on the Aeolian Islands and Ustica. Its position offers a completely new experience of flight with an important role of gravitational force and the relative perception of the sense of emptiness. Specifically, the work is formed by a sturdy steel structure, similar to a common swing, to which steel cables holding a harness are secured. From the platform under the swing you are tied up and then lifted with a winch to a height of 16 metres. The rope is then released and you begin to swing with the sensation of flying in front of a breathtaking panorama between the mountains and the sea.

You can fly individually, in pairs or in threes from 7 years of age. There will be three types of flight: the flight for children, from 5 metres, for 10 swing, at reduced speed; the "adrenaline flight" from 10 metres, for 20 oscillation and 15 kilometres per hour of speed; the most extreme, "flight of the devil", which starts from a height of 16 metres for a swing of 30 and reaches a speed of 25 kilometres per hour.
